Abstract:

Longitudinal studies on CD4 and CD8 markers in an HIV-AIDS study make repeated observations of multiple measurements on each subject. Identifying change points in CD4 count prior to AIDS has been an active area of research. We demonstrate the use of Bayesian methods to simultaneously estimate different change points in the longitudinal course of these two markers. We show the usefulness of our method using a new HIV-AIDS study, ACTG 398 data.
