Abstract:

Thompson (2004) constructed the Active Set adaptive sampling (web sampling) and associated estimators used for studying populations on particularly ``sensitive'' issues, such as illegal drug use, HIV/AIDS prevalence, the internet, and other network structures. In this paper, I sue different Markov chain resampling procedures to get a better efficiency. I use both real and simulated data.
