Abstract:

Statistical disclosure control (SDC) is the modification of statistical data that contain confidential information on individual entities. Multiple and stochastic swapping of keys (MaSSK) is a model-based partial synthesis SDC method in the sense that only a subset of the observed data are synthesized in a Bayesian framework. Specifically, MaSSK swaps the values of the identifying variables between paired cases in a dataset and releases multiple swapped datasets. MaSSK preserves the original key cell counts and can be viewed as a model-based version of data swapping that yields valid inferences. This talk will outline the steps for conducting MaSSK and the tools to get valid inference from the MaSSK modified datasets. Simulation results will be presented.
