Title: Multiple Imputation of a Depression Treatment Trial Using an Iterative Predictive Mean Matching Hot-deck

Abstract:

We discuss a predictive mean matching hot-deck approach for multiply imputing missing data from a large longitudinal treatment study of low-income minority women with depression. The hot-deck strategy investigated here involves imputing variables one at a time by using regression equations to match prospective donors and donees with similar predicted values. Important practical questions involve selecting the donor pool and the effect of iteration on postimputation inferences. Results from simulations and the depression treatment study will be presented.
