Abstract:

In most of the clinical trials for drug evaluation, we generally use the hypothesis testing setting for designing, monitoring, and analyzing the studies. The magic p-value has played a vital role in every step of the drug evaluation process (more than FDA's evaluation). P-value is simply a screening device for signal. In this talk, we use interval estimation to discuss how one can do every step of the drug evaluation quantitatively (not just qualitatively).
