Title: Additive Risk Model for Studies with Two-stage Data

Abstract:

In many biomedical or epidemiological studies, two-stage data are collected in which crude information about failure time and important covariates is observed for the first-stage sample, randomly selected from the population of interest, and accurate information is collected from the smaller, second-stage subsample, which is a subsample of the first-stage sample. We propose an estimation method for additive risk model in studies with two-stage data. Compared with the typical estimation based only on the accurate information from the second-stage subsample, this method combines the information from both the first-stage sample and the second-stage subsample, achieving higher efficiency. Simulation studies are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.
