Abstract:

Physician membership associations play a meaningful role in shaping health policy. Representing their members requires that associations gather a large amount of statistical data. Participants will discuss methods of data collection (especially survey research trends), types of data gathered, internal uses of data, ways data are reported (including a discussion of association data resources available to the public), ways data are used externally to shape policy, and other statistical activities within associations.
