Abstract:

Understanding biology systems is becoming an increasingly important first step in drug discovery. Recent technological advances are making the measurement of biological activity at the molecular level possible. Experimental platforms generate large volumes of data that measure gene translation, proteins, and metabolites. Identifying biomarkers specific to different drugs and diseases and understanding the association of these biomarkers will give us a better understanding of drug efficacy and safety and the predictive nature of animal models.
