Abstract:	Degradation modeling has a rich history in manufacturing, especially in the electronics industry. In general, degradation measurements have great potential to improve lifetime data analysis. We investigate the reliability characteristic of lifetime distribution generated from a general degradation model, where some of the model coefficients are random variables. We also seek to characterize the degradation models that lead to particular families of lifetime distribution.
