Title:	Comparison of Density Functions via Empirical Likelihood

Abstract:	Consider p independent random variables X_1,...,X_p with density f_1,...,f_p respectively. We consider the problem of testing the equality of f_1,...,f_p. This task is accomplished by using a local empirical likelihood approach. The asymptotic behavior of the proposed test statistic is proved and its performance is illustrated by means of some finite sample simulations. A bootstrap appoximation is proposed to better estimate the critical value of the test. Finally, the choice of the bandwidth is discussed.
