Interim Monitoring of Clinical Trials for Efficacy, Safety and Futility - Continuing Ed
ASA | ||
Instructor(s): Cyrus R. Mehta, Cytel Software Corporation
This workshop will cover flexible families of stopping boundaries for interim monitoring of clinical trials. Both efficacy and safety monitoring will be discussed. In addition we will discuss early stopping for futility either through the use of conditional power or through formal futility boundaries. The formal futility boundaries are generated by extending the notion of an alpha-spending function (Land and DeMets, 1983) to a beta-spending function (Pampallona, Tsiatis and Kim, 2001). The methods will be illustrated with real clinical trials data and software support using the newly released East-3 software package. Fee: Everyone - $50.00
