Successful Data Mining in Practice - Continuing Ed
ASA
Instructor(s): Richard D. De Veaux, Williams College
This two-day seminar will give you the skills you need to use data mining optimally in making business decisions. The course emphasizes the PRACTICAL application of data mining. Rather than just telling you how wonderful data mining is, you will participate in solving problems using data mining. Over 40% of the class time is spent in working together to analyze selected sample data sets. We'll use these data sets to identify and predict: - Good credit risks - Targets for a direct marketing campaign - Product recommendations for particular shoppers - Customer profiles for certain products - Survivors of the Titanic sinking - People at risk for a heart attack Fees: M- $550 ($700 after July 18), NM- $670 ($825 after July 18), SM- $340 ($550 after July 18)
