Abstract:

Whether a single isotopic-analog is applicable to quantification of various drugs of abuse is of interest in forensic science. We present a dataset of MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) and related compounds with several calibration runs. We search the possible functional forms of a calibration curve for MDMA by using various exploratory approaches. We also use a jackknife approach based on a single calibration run data (i.e., leave-one-in approach) to predict MDMA concentrations in the other run datasets. To evaluate prediction of MDMA concentrations by other isotopic-analogs, the reaction readings of each isotopic-analog is applied to those of MDMA. The prediction errors from the jackknife approach are used to test whether quantitative results derived from other isotopic-analogs are not different from those from the MDMA isotopic-analog.
