Abstract:

Let X be a lifetime variable and C a censoring variable. The hazard functions of X and C are proportional. Let T = min{X, C} and Delta = I{X < = C}. The main focus of this talk is generalized maximum likelihood estimation of the survival function of X a la Kiefer and Wolfowitz based on some n independent realizations of (T, Delta). The asymptotic theory of the estimator is also expounded.
