Abstract:

We investigate a binary partitioning algorithm for clustered data. The algorithm is based on the use of GEE to evaluate the performance of individual splits. Wald statistic from GEE is used in the evaluation process. A tree-based model was developed through the algorithm and tested to predict a positive tuberculin skin test among contacts to an active TB case.
