Abstract:

Two aspects of the research opportunities available at SAMSI will be discussed. The first is the possibility of participating in upcoming SAMSI programs, in particular those already scheduled for the 2003-04 and 2004-05 academic years. Opportunities exist for senior researchers, junior researchers, postdoctoral candidates, graduate students, and undergraduate students. The second aspect of the discussion will relate to the opportunity of researchers in the community to propose--and lead--SAMSI research programs in subsequent years. The nature of such SAMSI programs will be discussed, and the proposal process outlined and illustrated.
