Abstract:

Several distributional properties of k record values of extreme value distributions are discussed. Some recurrence relations of the moments are given. The problem of the estimation of the location and scale parameters are studied. Predictions of the sth record value based on the first m (m< s) record values are given. Several applications of the results in the records of Olympic Games are presented.
