Author(s): Cheryl L. Jennings*+
Companies: Motorola SPS
Address: 3841 East Talowa St., Phoenix, AZ, 85044-3017,
Keywords: consulting ; communication
Abstract:

Through education and experience and bravado, engineers are very knowledgeable in their particular disciplines. The same cannot always be said of their knowledge in statistical methods. That's okay; sometimes they seek help in advance.and sometimes they don't. This talk will provide ideas for effective communication with subject-matter experts in both situations; when you are part of the planning team and when you are part of the recovery team.
