Abstract:

In oncology clinical studies, survival is a major endpoint of interest. Often Cox regression model is commonly utilized to identify the prognostics factors. However, this method is limited by the assumed functional form of the prognostic factors and deletion of observation with missing values. Other methods such as survival trees are more efficient in identifying potential significant prognostic factors. The main objective of this presentation is to compare the utility of the survival trees and Cox regression model in a pancreatic trial.
