Abstract:

The paper discusses a symmetric weighted empirical distribution function to estimate the true population distribution function. An exact efficiency function of this estimator relative to the ordinary empirical distribution function has been given. The paper studies the properties of this exact efficiency function. The numerical examples of applications are also given.
