Abstract:

We discuss extensions of the gum chewing activity introduced in the previous presentation. These interactive extensions are appropriate for use in an intermediate applied statistics course. Illustrations include ANOVA, blocking, repeated measures, and multiple linear regression. This activity allows students to apply principles of experimental design and to be active participants in the generation and analyses of data.
