Abstract:

The food industry provides a wealth of opportunities for successful application of experiment design. This talk will describe some of these applications and some of the interesting issues that arise. These include the use of independent versus mixture factor designs, blocking in nonstandard situations both for producing samples and for consumer testing of samples, and the analysis of split plot structures.
