Abstract:

This paper will discuss calibration weights that calibrate a two-phase sample to two sets of auxiliary information simultaneously. We consider when auxiliary information is available for the overall and first-phase units and in the case of the overall and second phase units. Here overall means that the auxiliary information is available for the entire universe the first- and second- phase units. The weights therefore produce consistent estimates for both sets of auxiliary information. We will also discuss if the resultant weights have any added value when compared to the weights discussed by Hidirouglou and Sarndal (1998).
