Abstract:

Data items with inconsistent or missing responses from Census 2000 are corrected through one of three types of imputation: assignment, allocation, or substitution. National level rates are computed for each of these imputation types to look at different levels of respondent data quality. This paper presents rates produced for the relationship, sex, age, Hispanic origin, race, and tenure items from Census 2000, and by other characteristics within these items.
