Abstract:

Massive datasets are becoming more common in many areas of application, from gene expression arrays to sky survey data to marketing scanner data. How can we cope with the computational and methodological issues presented by these data sets? What new tools are needed to handle these problems? We will discuss different approaches to these challenging issues.
