Abstract:

At Brigham Young University our terminal degree is a Master's degree. Our students generally have a strong applied statistical background. But, as with most students, they have little practical experience in applying these skills. This presentation will describe how we use Master's and a few undergraduate level students as consultants for a wide variety of clients. This provides our students the opportunity to deal with real problems in a mentored situation. This is valuable experience and allows for strong professional growth in our students.
