Abstract:

In the analysis of oncology clinical trials, one of the objectives is to examine prognostic factors and treatment outcomes in both efficacy and safety so that a better treatment can be properly assigned to future patients with similar profiles. Classification becomes an essential tool for this exploration. We demonstrate this process using the tree techniques based on a recent study. We also examine the quality-of-life data to estimate the treatment effect and show the possible link of quality of life to the clinical findings.
