Abstract:

I will describe retrospective statistical models for disease incidence, recurrence or mortality risk that incorporate detailed, i.e., high-dimensional, data on a patient's genetic profile and/or molecular phenotype. These models will be illustrated by examples drawn from ongoing projects at Duke University to characterize absolute or relative risk of particular clinical endpoints, or sets of endpoints, in context of cancer and heart disease.
