Abstract:

In many ways Census 2000 was a great success. But it was not perfect, it did have a number of problems, which the Census Bureau has described in the past. A number of the Census's successes and difficulties could have only been seen when looking at the data from a user's perspective. Additionally, users sometimes have different views of the Census Bureau's successes and difficulties. In this discussion, various data users will provide their reactions to several Census 2000 programs and data quality issues including: Local Update of Census Addresses, the partnership program for promotion, Count Question Resolution, and specific data topics.
