Abstract:

In most businesses, business researchers grapple with the following conundrum: The number of analysts stays constant while the amount and the complexity of the data they are asked to analyze increase exponentially. Hence the challenge is not only to produce better analyses--graphs in particular--but also to produce more of them. We have dealt with this challenge by combining different information delivery products based on different information delivery paradigms into one data portal. This data portal provides an analyst or an end-user with a single point of access to information and handles the range from simple structured data extracts to sophisticated graphical reports. The portal provides an efficient and effective way of distributing the latest information about the state of the business to all constituents. This presentation will illustrate the portal's functionality by highlighting some of its graphical reports and discuss the reasoning that went into the creation of the portal and the reports.
