Abstract:

Classroom-based research can be used to study how students learn statistics in our own classes and to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching methods and instructional materials. Discussion will focus on how to use classroom research to improve instruction and materials, set conditions that allow the researcher to draw conclusions or generalize to other settings, and form collaborative classroom research groups.
