Abstract:

We examine certain refinements of finite-population, design-based adaptive sampling procedures to be used in microparticle decontamination of a building. The addition and linking of units is allowed to depend upon ventilation system structures and foot-traffic patterns. We also consider how the adhesion properties of particles might affect testing protocols. Design variations which provide for changes in inclusion probabilities of certain internal building structures due to, for example, room size, or functional uses of building areas, are also examined.
