Title: Bayesian Analysis for Clinico-Genomic Characterization Studies
Author(s): Mike West*+

Address: Inst. of Stats & Decision Science, Durham, NC, 27708-0251,
Keywords: Bayesian bioinformatics ; Predictive tree models ; CART ; clinico-genomics ; molecular medicine
Abstract:

I discuss approaches to analysis and modelling of clinical and molecular profile (gene expression) in studies that aim to characterize clinical states and outcomes by combining such data. The talk will focus on modeling and predicting cancer outcomes utilizing traditional clinical risk factors together with large-scale gene expression data. Topics covered will include Bayesian predictive classification tree analyses, including aspects of model development and fitting, and current challenges to methodology, as well as applications.
