Abstract #300221

This is the preliminary program for the 2003 Joint Statistical Meetings in San Francisco, California. Currently included in this program is the "technical" program, schedule of invited, topic contributed, regular contributed and poster sessions; Continuing Education courses (August 2-5, 2003); and Committee and Business Meetings. This on-line program will be updated frequently to reflect the most current revisions.

Title: A Model for Carry-Over in Crossover Design

Abstract:

When carry-over is present in crossover design, the estimator of the treatment effect is biased. One alternative is to treat the subject effect as random and to model a combined error term with a block diagonal form for variance and covariance so that correlations between observations on the same subject are equal to r. I will consider the case where r may be different between subjects and propose the expanded model to account for different r's.
