Keywords: graphs ; EDA ; computational biology
Abstract:

Graphs provide a unique data structure for exploring biological data. There are many different graphs that can be constructed based on biologic data. These include metabolic pathways, protein-protein interactions as well as co-citation of genes in the scientific literature. I will consider various methods of using graphs and their properties to perform exploratory data analysis on data from a microarray experiment using different graphs based on biological metadata.
