Abstract - #300055
Title: Robust Regression-Based Analysis of Drug-Nucleic Acid Binding
Author(s): David E. Booth*+

Address: Graduate School of Management, Kent, OH, 44242-0001,
Keywords: robust ; outlier ; Scatchard plot ; DNA
Abstract:

Outlier detection can be very important in analyzing binding data from Scatchard plots. In this study, a robust regression procedure was used in conjunction with a Scatchard plot to study the binding of the methylphenazinium cation (a known mutagen) with double stranded DNA. The procedures, their results, and their advantages are discussed.
