Description

The 2002 JSM in NYC would provide an excellent and timely opportunity to look back at the advances in empirical likelihood over the last decade, since Art Owen's pioneering work. Owen recently published a monograph on the subject and it continues to attract serious attention. However, there has been very little "coverage" at recent conferences. This session would start with a review talk by Owen, followed by more specialized talks in the areas of expertise of the other speakers.
