Title
Sensitivity Analysis for Longitudinal Modeling
Date / Time / Room Sponsor Type
08/14/2002
2:00 PM - 3:50 PM
Room: H-Mercury Ballroom
Biometrics Section*, ENAR, WNAR Invited
Organizer: Andrea B. Troxel, Columbia University
Chair: Wensheng Guo, University of Pennsylvania
Discussant: 3:20 PM - Xihong Lin, University of Michigan
Floor Discussion 3:35 PM
Description

This session will address various aspects of sensitivity analysis for nonignorable missing data problems, an area gaining considerable attention in the missing data literature. Because modeling of nonignorable missing data mechanisms is so difficult and dependent on strong untestable assumptions, analysts increasingly turn to sensitivity analyses to avoid some of these problems. The speakers will focus on different aspects of sensitivity analysis, including a screening tool to assess sensitivity of inference to possible nonignorability; sensitivity to nonignorability through a specific model parameter; and comparisons of models adjusting for nonignorability to those that ignore it.
