Abstract:

While teaching statistics in a biomedical manufacturing setting has unique challenges, it also has much it can draw on from other industries. In this roundtable, we will discuss the why, who, what, and how of such training. Of special interest are: 1.) what topics must be covered that are not traditionally taught in other industries; 2.) how can programs used in other industries like Six Sigma be adopted to the biomedical industry; and 3.) what structure and resources are needed to support such training.
