Abstract:
|
When explaining "Bayesian" to clinicians, where should you begin? How much do they really need to know? Is subjective probability on the list of concepts to be explained? How about conditional probability? How about parameters as random variables? What concepts are crucial and which are not? What resources are available to help explain the crucial concepts? What works and what does not work when teaching clinicians with little statistical training? These are a few of the questions that will be addressed at this roundtable on teaching Bayesian methods to clinicians.
