Abstract:

The incorporation of auxiliary variables in modelling techniques can improve the prediction results by taking advantage of the correlation of the auxiliary variable and the measure of interest. It is a rare case to have access to a complete data set, one that has the outcomes of the process of interest and the most important auxiliary information correlated with it. For this reason, to have access to a complete dataset, researchers must combined data from different sources. In this paper, we study the application of the design-based EOF to a combined data set.
