Title: The Students' Perceived Quality of the University Teaching Courses in Italy

Abstract:

In Italy, since the academic year 1999/2000, all the universities must conduct annnual surveys among the students in order to get their evaluation on some aspects of the organization and quality of the teaching courses. This paper has three main objectives. First, it presents the organization of this survey and the data set that has been implmented. Second, it analyses the main characteristics of the questinnaires used by the different universities. Finally, it discusses the statistics and indicators proposed and used to evaluate and compare the perceived quality of the teaching courses.
