Abstract:
|
The concept of comparability has been used in literature for a long time to develop statistical methodologies. Recently, this concept has been used by researchers in studying truncated observations in various contexts. This paper reviews this concept and further identifies strong and weak types of comparabilities in event history study. These two types of comparabilities will be compared and used to motivate new statistical methods to analyze recurrence times collected in the event history study when censoring is present.
