Abstract:

In this talk, we present recent developments how to use the Java-based software development kit "nViZn" for interactive statistical graphics on the Web. We demonstrate how to access data from federal agencies, such as USDA-NASS and NCI in a hierarchical way, using clickable micromaps. We also demonstrate how this Web-based application can be linked to federal data bases, allowing the user to access federal data as soon as the data becomes available.
