Abstract:

The Pressure Measurements Division at NIST provides calibration service for pressure gauges that customers in turn use to calibrate other instruments. Often these instruments are calibrated and recalibrated several times during the instrument's useable lifetime. This service requires that the calibration curve be determined accurately and requires a tight confidence bound for the estimate. As of now, each recalibration is done without applying prior calibration data. As a way to increase the accuracy of this program, dynamic linear modeling is used to take into account the prior calibrations at each calibration epoch.
