Abstract:
|
There is a desire to correlate small molecule activity with biological target structure. One approach is to calculate Pearson's correlations between molecular activity profiles and protein sequence descriptors. The difficulty in this approach is to identify significant correlation among the large number of correlation coefficients. Simple Bonferroni adjustment is too conservative, due to the large number of correlated tests. Multiple testing using the resampling approach is applied. Results from the raw p-values and different multiplicity adjustment approaches are demonstrated. With multiplicity adjustment, we can identify real correlations between drug target and molecular activity.
