Abstract:

Although there are many Web sites produced by statisticians and statistical groups, often these sites do not realize their full potential as resources for non-statisticians. Popular Web sites for statisticians can be difficult to navigate for non-statisticians, and certain features that would be useful for non-statisticians may not appear on statistician's Web sites. These issues are important for consulting centers, where statisticians can tailor Web content for their particular clients. The content of a consulting center's Web site may vary according to the function of the center, with more content desired at centers whose clients perform their own analyses. I will discuss Web site features that are useful for consulting clients, and illustrate them with existing Web sites. A list of Web sites with helpful content for consulting clients will be provided.
