Abstract:

This paper will discuss our experience on running a statistical consulting lab at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. We will present our experience on: 1.) marketing to academic clients; 2.) soliciting community projects; 3.) creating and running a series of quantitative research workshops; 4.) building a positive image in the community; and 5.) consulting on dissertation and thesis. We will also share our thoughts on the critical elements for a successful statistical consulting lab in an academic environment.
