Abstract:

A simple geometric representation of Bayes and unbiased rules for squared error loss is provided. Some orthogonality relationships between Bayes and unbiased estimators and the functions they are estimating are proved. Bayes estimators are shown to be behave asymptotically like unbiased estimators.
