Abstract:

Loglinear and graphical Rasch models (LLGR models) combine loglinear Rasch models for measurement with graphical models for multivariate dependencies into joint modelling frameworks. LLGR models provide a coherent frame of inference for item analyses validating the measurement models, modelling of differential item functioning and local dependency, and analyses of association between the latent variables underlying item responses, on the one hand, and exogenous variables on the other. The techniques for analysis by LLGR will be illustrated by examples of analysis of quality of life among patients suffering from colitis ulcerose.
